1. Product Overview
Power Indicator LED: Shows device status.
USB-C Port: Connects to your computer.
Power Input: Connects to the included power adapter.
2. Installation Instructions
Place the hard drive on a stable surface.
Connect the power adapter to the hard drive and plug it into an outlet.
Connect the drive to your computer:
Use the Type-C to Type-C cable if your computer has a USB-C port.
Use the Type-C to Type-A cable if your computer has a USB-A port.
Turn on the drive if it has a power switch.
Your computer should automatically detect the drive.
Note: You may need to format the drive if it is not immediately recognized.
3. Formatting Instructions
Depending on how you intend to use your desktop hard drive, you may need to format it first. Formatting erases all data on the drive, so back up important files before proceeding.
⚡ Windows (10/11)
Connect the hard drive to your PC.
Open File Explorer → This PC.
Right-click the external hard drive and select Format.
Choose the desired File System:
NTFS: For Windows-only use.
exFAT: For compatibility with Windows and Mac.
Leave Allocation unit size as default.
Name the drive (Volume Label) if desired.
Check Quick Format for faster formatting.
Click Start and confirm.
🍎 macOS (10.13 and later)
Connect the hard drive to your Mac.
Open Disk Utility (Applications → Utilities → Disk Utility).
Select your external drive from the sidebar.
Click Erase at the top.
Choose a Format:
Mac OS Extended (Journaled): For Mac-only use.
APFS: For newer Macs (SSD recommended).
exFAT: For cross-compatibility with Windows.
Set a Name for your drive.
Click Erase and wait for the process to finish.
🎮 Xbox One
Formatting for Xbox One will make the drive usable only for games and apps on Xbox.
Plug the drive into a USB port on the Xbox One.
A message will appear: "External Storage Device Ready."
Select Format storage device.
Enter a name for the drive.
Choose Install new things here if you want it as the default install location.
Select Format Storage Device to confirm.
🎮 PlayStation 4
Formatting will allow the drive to store games and apps on PS4.
Connect the drive to the PS4 via USB.
Go to Settings → Devices → USB Storage Devices.
Select your external hard drive.
Choose Format as Extended Storage.
Confirm when prompted.
Note: Drives must be USB 3.0 and at least 250GB to work with PS4.
4. Using Your Hard Drive
Windows: Access through "This PC" or "File Explorer."
macOS: Access through "Finder."
Linux: Access through your file manager under external drives.
You can drag and drop files, create folders, and back up your system as needed.
5. Safely Disconnecting
Always eject the drive properly before unplugging it:
Windows: Click "Safely Remove Hardware" in the system tray.
macOS: Drag the drive icon to the Trash or right-click and choose "Eject."
Linux: Right-click the drive in the file manager and select "Unmount" or "Eject."
